1st September, 2017

My Dear LSPS Students,

On behalf of all teachers and staff at LSPS, welcome back. I hope you all had a wonderful summer holiday. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all P1 students and other new comers to our Lasallian family.

As you can see, we have a brand new school website. We hope it has become easier for you to find out all sorts of information about our wonderful School. Please do look at the different sections when you have time and do write me a letter if you have any feedback on the new website. I would also like to encourage all of you to continue writing letters to me on any topic of your choice. I will reply to all of you as quickly as I can.

This year will be a very busy year for all of us because La Salle Primary School will be celebrating its Diamond Jubilee. We must always be thankful to God for our excellent achievements in the past and at the same time we are excited with all the opportunities for the future. Remember our Diamond Jubilee theme is ‘Sparkling onwards and upwards’. We have planned a Diamond Jubilee event for every single month in the coming academic year. I am sure all of you will enjoy the celebrations. Our first event will be the DJ Opening Mass and Kick-off Ceremony on the 15th September, 2017. Here is the list of events for your reference:

DJ Events (Month)
Opening Mass & Kick-off Ceremony (September, 2017)

I wish all of you the very best in the coming academic year. Last but not least, remember to always be Lasallian Gentlemen in your thoughts, deeds and manners.
I shall end with a special prayer:
A new dawn breaks on the school year and we find ourselves looking ahead with anticipation, excitement and, perhaps, even a little trepidation. As we begin our time together over these next few days- honouring who our communities are, imagining what we can be, and dedicating ourselves to the service of the learners entrusted to our care- we do well to remember that the Loving God is with us always.
So let us then take a moment to pause, to calm ourselves, and to become aware of the Loving God among us. And so we mark ourselves with the sign of our faith….
In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,
Amen
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
