4th October, 2017
My Dear LSPS Students,
Time flies! We are now in the month of October. Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival. I think many of you know by now that it is one of my favourite Chinese festivals and the reason is because both my English and Chinese names are related to the moon. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a happy Mid-Autumn Festival.
We have had a wonderful start to our Diamond Jubilee celebrations. I know that many of you and our special guests enjoyed the Opening Mass and the Kick-off Ceremony. You boys were all very well-behaved and were truly Lasallian Gentlemen.
Many of you asked if we finished eating the cake that was on stage. Believe it or not, the cake was not a real cake. We plan to take it out during the year so you can take photos with it during other events. Here is a photo of the whole school with our special guests. You can find more photos from the Opening Mass and Kick-off Ceremony on our school website.
The other upcoming Diamond Jubilee events include Speech Day, Gala Dinner, Family Sports Day etc. More details on other events can be found our school website.
I would like to end with a special prayer for LSPS as it celebrates its 60th birthday:
Gracious God, we celebrate all the joys that have been come to birth in these 60 years. We celebrate all the happy times, all the accomplishments, and all the triumphs. Thank you, Lord, for blessing us. And as we celebrate our past and rejoice in our present, we look forward with eager eyes to the future. We ask, Lord, that you would continue to protect us, guide us and sustain us as we go forth. Amen.
St. John Baptist de la Salle, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
