Message from the Principal
The renowned Cambridge English Dictionary defined “Diamond Jubilee” as follows:

Diamond Jubilee noun [ C usually singular] UK /ˌdaɪə.mənd ˈdʒuː.bəl.iː/ US /ˌdaɪə.mənd ˈdʒuː.bə.liː/ MAINLY UK the day exactly 60 years after an important occasion, or a special event to celebrate

Borrowing from this definition, an important occasion took place 60 years ago here in Hong Kong - the establishment of La Salle Primary School. A selfless effort by the La Salle Brothers to follow St. John Baptist de La Salle’s mission of providing a human and Christian education to the young, paying particular attention to the needy. For 60 years, thanks to the unfailing dedication and effort of our La Salle Brothers, all staff, parents and old boys, La Salle Primary School has strived to safeguard and uphold this mission and belief. Needless to say, La Salle Primary School has proudly nurtured generations of students who has contributed tremendously to the local if not the global community, in various aspects.

As the new academic year commences, I am pleased to announce that we are holding special events to celebrate this inimitable achievement, the Diamond Jubilee.

The 60th Anniversary will be celebrated through a series of exciting events throughout the school year. The purpose of these events lies not only in bringing together members of the Lasallian family but more importantly, they serve as reminders to us all of what we have achieved together in the past six decades.

The Diamond Jubilee also sets the stage for what La Salle Primary School aspires to achieve in the coming decades – to nurture our students into Lasallian Gentlemen. Individuals that are equipped with skills that will allow them to excel and flourish in the 21st century as well as developing a passion for life-long learning. Through educating the mind and hearts of our students, we aspire to develop individuals that excel in deeds, manners and character.

To quote from the famous late Nelson Mandela:
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world"

It is with this belief that La Salle Primary School will continue to create a difference in our boys, who will create a difference in the world they will champion.

May God bless you all and may God always bless La Salle Primary School.
